Whether your love of Red Boiling Springs is because you have roots here or you just love small town and old buildings, you have an opportunity to  help keep the  history of our town alive.

If you are an artist, whether your art is 2-D, 3-D or performance, these are strange times for us.  Galleries have closed and shows have been canceled, open houses have been postponed. The economy is dragging.

Vision 2020 Inc is the non-profit that hosts the Folk Medicine Festival each year.  This organization has found itself in the same boat with many  artists.  The shop, Step Back in Time,  had to close the doors, (hence artists’ works are not being sold)  the classes and events were cancelled.  We are just now beginning to get our feet back under us.  We could not possible put the Folk Medicine Festival on to the degree of success we have had without the support of the Tennessee Arts Commission.  Approximately 80% of the money TAC grants out comes from the Tennessee Specialty Plate Program. Please consider getting a plate that will support the Arts. . Here is a link so that  you can get more information from tn4arts.org.

We are also working to create a Heritage Museum for the community.  But first we have to restore the old RBS bank building to house the museum.  We, like many non-profits and businesses are having to scramble.  We have lost out on a grant due to the Covid-19 issue.   Raising funds so we can continue our work in our community has become difficult.
